My Name is Lindsay Bischoff and this is my families story. My husband Scott and I have 2 kids Parker and Paige who are 11 months apart. They are busy and oh so much fun! Parker is my oldest, he is the happiest little boy you could ever meet and he has low verbal autism. Paige is our youngest and she is truly beautiful from the inside out.
At twelve months old Parker missed his first set of developmental milestones. He missed his second set at 18 months and received a diagnosis of developmental delay and eventually Autism. At first we were devastated, and terrified, but determined to get on top of it. Over the next few years we committed our lives to a very intense amount of therapy, research, and patience. We struggled to learn to communicate with our son, in all honesty we struggled just to survive day to day. As a family we fought for every single coping strategy, every single new food, and every single routine. We fight because we love our son and we fight because we believe in him and we are determined to make his future as bright as possible.
