Sensory and Development

We all know that Sensory play is important for development particularly for toddlers. But for those of us with children on the spectrum it is important long after those toddler days have gone.

Sensory stimulation is extremely important for Parker. It give him vital feedback that he craves on a nearly consistent basis. One of the things that we have learned with Parker over the years is that when we combine sensory and language our results are significantly greater.

When we give Parker sensory stimulation along with new concepts we are able to get increased focus, retention, acceptance and engagement. If your a parent or caregiver of a child with a disability you know that this is huge!

I am on a mission to share what we have learned and the activities we are doing to help boost Parkers development and progression.
